In 2025, Pakistan witnessed one of the biggest financial scams involving the Treasure NFT platform. Promising daily returns of 4.3% to 6.8% and up to 30% monthly profits, it attracted many investors. However, investigations revealed that it was a Ponzi scheme using a referral model, with new investors’ funds being used to pay older ones.
The platform falsely claimed to be registered in Tempe, Arizona, but the provided address was linked to a Russian music academy. LinkedIn profiles of the team were also fabricated, and users found it impossible to withdraw their funds. Despite claims of having a license, regulatory bodies have found no evidence of its legitimacy.
