In this video I explain a common Facebook market place scam that has come up in the past few months. This is the Facebook Marketplace Mystery Box scam where you are made to believe you have a chance to get a really valuable item like a Macbook, Beats headphones or an Apple watch in a random mystery box. This is more of a grift than a scam as you do get something but there’s no chance you will get a valuable item as mentioned.
These scammers know that they can keep shipping cheap garbage and know the buyer can never get their money back since it was after all, a mystery box. They also sell other stuff so have really good reviews which makes people believe they are genuine. This is basically legal scamming.
The only way to stop such scams is to stop buying in hopes you get a good item and the scam will go away eventually. This was initially an eBay scam but now has moved to FB as well. It also mainly comes in the form of Electronic Mystery Boxes hence why I wanted to cover it on this channel! I will eventually do a video on how to avoid scams online so stay tuned by subscribing!
I never bought one of these so I don’t have a scam story but just wanted to expose these scammers!
