In late December 2022, our Gabon-based Observer Boursier Tchibinda alerted us to a suspicious company called “Sonnedix Gabon”. He investigated and quickly realised that it was a scam. But even so, the company has managed to con many Gabonese people by promising profitable investments, and even reassuring its investors by carrying out real on-the-ground community work. Tchibinda gave us some tips on how others can avoid falling for scams like this.
