Opposition parties on Monday spoke in one voice at the all-party meeting on the eve of the Budget session of Parliament, demanding discussion on Adani-Hindenburg issue, border row with China, BBC documentary on Gujarat riots and role of Governors, among others, during the session even as the government asserted that it is willing to discuss every matter allowed by rules. Questioning the Adani Group’s response equating Hindenburg’s allegations of stock manipulation and fraud as an “attack on India”, leaders representing AAP, RJD, Left, Shiv Sena, DMK and BRS raised concern over the government’s silence as well as impact of the alleged financial irregularities. RJD’s Manoj Jha and AAP’s Sanjay Singh said several lakh crores of public funds were “sinking” and the government’s silence on what was happening to public money was worrisome.
