Over the last week MillerSmiles has received many scams from the public and through its HoneyTrap scam detection system. Below we provide an analysis of the scams we have received for the week of

24th May 2014 to 31st May 2014

During the week we reported a total of 18 phishing scams

14 or 78% of these scams linked to websites that were still online and live, ready to capture personal data, when we reported them

  • 0.66% YOUR ONLINE BANKING ACCESS LOCKED alleged sender Nationwide Building Society reported 25th May 2014
  • 0.64% [SUSPECTED ] IRREGULAR ACCOUNT ACTIVITY DETECTED alleged sender Santander reported 25th May 2014
  • 0.6% Verify Your Account alleged sender BT reported 26th May 2014
  • 0.57% FW: Important – Commercial Documents alleged sender Lloyds Commercial Bank reported 24th May 2014
  • 0.57% Irregular account activity detected alleged sender Santander reported 26th May 2014
  • 0.55% Your itunes account has been frozen ! alleged sender Microsoft reported 27th May 2014
  • 0.53% NatWest Statement alleged sender NatWest.co.uk reported 24th May 2014
  • 0.5% Verify Your Account alleged sender BT reported 27th May 2014
  • 0.5% Notification itunes ! alleged sender Microsoft reported 27th May 2014
