The plot follows Rudy (Rudy) Duncan (Ben Affleck), a man who has just been released from prison and is caught up in a dangerous robbery scheme by posing as his cellmate, Nick. Nick actually corresponds with Anne Ashley (Ashley, Charlize Theron), whom Rudy meets after his release from prison, pretending to be Nick. But Ashley’s brother Gabriel (G) Abriel (Gary Sinise), a crime boss, forces Rudy to help them rob an Indian casino, and Rudy is forced to juggle deception and survival. As the story progresses, hidden conspiracies emerge and Rudy realizes that he is just part of a bigger scam and that everyone has their own agenda.
