If you’re selling an expensive item privately like a car, jewellery or piece of equipment you may want to ask for payment in the form of a bank draft instead of cash or a personal check to make sure the funds are there.
While bank drafts are a considered a secure way to accept payment, now criminals are creating fake ones to use in scams.
