PNB Scam Fugitive Mehul Choksi Arrested in Belgium | What’s Next for Extradition? | NewsX

#BringsBackChoksi | Mehul Choksi, along with his nephew Nirav Modi, has been accused of defrauding Punjab National Bank (PNB) of Rs. 13,000 crore in 2018 using forged Letters of Undertaking and Letters of Credit. After fleeing to Antigua, Choksi was arrested in Belgium, marking a breakthrough in a seven-year international pursuit. Extradition efforts are underway following the approval of an extradition treaty between India and Belgium, and the key question now is: will Choksi be brought back to India for trial?
