The Australian Signals Directorate’s 2023-24 Annual Report states that it received more than 36,700 calls to its Australian Cyber Security Hotline, an increase of 12% from the previous financial year. They also responded to more than 1,100 cybersecurity incidents, highlighting the continued exploitation of Australian systems and the ongoing threat to our critical networks. – Online shopping fraud (15%) 🛒

The top 3 self-reported cybercrime types for businesses were:
– Email compromise (20%) 📧
– Online banking fraud (13%) 💼
– Business email compromise fraud (13%) 🏢
