Wendy Osefo of the Real housewives of Potomac was indicted on seven counts of insurance fraud, eight counts of conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, and one count of false statement to a police officer on Thursday. Her husband, Edward Osefo, was indicted on nine counts of insurance fraud, eight counts of conspiracy to commit insurance fraud and one count of false statement to a police officer.
The story is fascinating, if you’re into fraud cases. The Osefo family returned from a vacation in Jamaica in April 2024 and reported that their house had been burglarized. Allegedly stolen were a bunch of designer handbags and jewelry. They reported that about 80 items worth more than $200,000 were stolen.
And then the police found these unusual things:
When the Osefos were arrested, the police executed a search warrant in the house and found 15 items believes to be ones that were claimed stolen.
